Hello everybody! This story is not about me, about Lina.She is my friend we've met in Germany from South Korea.I wanted to talk about her journey,Camino, we Turkish people and also Muslims don't know anything about this topic.So firstly I sent an email her and ask some questions.And dear Lina answered me sincerely:)
After this I will transfer her conversation.
1. why I choose this way?
well, firstly, "I don't know".
yes, everybody asked me why you want to go such a hard way. i know
it's like torturing myself.
But someday i had a strong feeling that
i really want to walk this road. i asked same question to friends on
the road during the camino,but most of them also don't know why.
personally, i've spent hard years, and i need some energy to live my
life gladly. And i made promises to myself. 1. should be completed
just by walking( not get a bus, train, or taxi), 2. always carry my
bagages on my own (not to use bagage transportation service)

Sonradan karar veriyorum Lina'yla konuşup bu yolculuğu blogda anlatacağım. Küçük bir araştırma yapıyorum ama Türkçe kaynak yok bile.O kadar yabancıyız yani bu konuya.
Camino aslında bir çeşit hac yolculuğuymuş.Birden fazla rotası varmış.Her sene binlerce insan bu yolculuğa çıkarmış.
Zor yıllar geçirdim diyor, hayatımı yaşayabilmem için enerjiye ihtiyacım vardı.Sonra kendime söz verdim ; bu yola çıkacağım ve sadece yürüyeceğim, otobüs, taksi, tren yok! Üstelik çantamı hep kendim taşıyacağım, herhangi bir emanet dolabı kullanmaksızın.
2. about the Camino
"Camino De Santiago" was one
of the most important Christian pilgrimages during medieval times,
and there are several routes to go to Santiago De Compostella, which
is the ultimate destination of the Camino. the most popular route is
the "Camino Frances" which stretches 780km from St. Jean
Pied De port in France. So i booked a ticket from Berlin to Paris,
and then moved to St. Jean Pied De Port by train. it took almost one
day(there is no direct train of this route), so i started my Camino
on 30, august.
Lina'dan aktarıyorum ki:"Camino De Santiago" ortaçağdan beri hristiyan hac yollarından en önemlilerinden biriymiş.Bu yolculukta son durak olan "Santiago De Compostella" ya çıkan bir çok rota varmış.Fakat en popüler olanı "Camino Frances" miş,780 km olan.Bu yol en seçilesi yolmuş çünkü birçok insan bu rotayı seçtiğinden kaybolma riski en az olanmış.
Haritalara,rota kitaplarına gerek yokmuş. Tek gerek sarı okları takip etmekmiş.
"Albergue" yol boyunca en ucuz hostelmiş (0-10 Euro), sadece bu yolculuğa çıkanların sahip olduğu pasapotun gösterilmesi mecburiymiş. Temiz veya her şeyini tedarik edebilceğin bir hostel ya da bit otel düşünme diyor Lina. Orada sadece dünyanın her yerinden insanlarla birlikte yemek pişirir, şarkı söyler ve uyursun.Üstüne gülerek ekliyor, horlamalar yüzünden hiç uyuyamadım ama ben! :)
3. Camino de France
Most of people doing the Camino choose
this road, because you have no worries to lost. there are always
signs for pilgrims.
You don't need any map or book when you
walk this road. all you have to do is just following the "yellow
arrow". "Albergue" is cheap hostel just for pilgrims
(0~10 Euro). you have to show passport of pilgrim (credential) to the
owner. it's not like good and clean hostel, or hotel, but you can
meet a lot of people from all over the world. you can cook together,
sing together, and "sleep together". hahahahahah, i
couldn't sleep because of the snoring...but it's a great experience.
4. information
The summer of Spain is extremely hot,
and even in September, too. so most of people wake up very
early(5:30~6:00) and start to walk at least 8:00.
I usually get up at 5:50? and then
start to walk 6:30. 34 days is the ideal schedule to complete the
Camino, but i walked fast, so i completed for 29 days.
That means i walked a lot per
day...(someday, i walked 40 km....) but it's not good. you always take
care about your feet and body, and not to ignore the signal of body.
otherwise, you cannot walk and more importantly, you are not happy.

Tekrar başlıyor anlatmaya:
" Camino'nun ortalarındaydım. Kendimi çok yorgun ve bitkin hissediyordum artık.Bu yolculuğu da , ne yaptığımı da sorguluyordum.Sonra o bahsettiğim hostelde yaşlı ama çılgın bir adamla karşılaştım.30 yıldır camino yolunda olduğunu hatta neredeyse tüm hayatının camino olduğunu söyledi.Tüm gün boyunca sadece yürümememiz , yaşadıklarımızın tadına varmamız ve şükretmemiz gerektiğini anlattı.O günden sonra adımlarımı yavaşlattım ve aklımı ,etrafımı dinlemeye başladım. O adamın ne bir evi ne de sağlığı vardı ama bu yollardaydı.
Artık yollarda atları ,inekleri ve daha bir çok şeyleri görebiliyor ve osuran hayvanlara gülebiliyordum , tamam ilk seferinde mide bulandırıcıydı ama :))
Ve hayatımdaki en güzel gün batımını gördüm Cebreiro (İspanya) 'da diyor.Camino arkadaşlarıyla verdiği kalpli pozunda ordan kalan bir hatıra olduğunu söyleyerek de bitiriyor.
And the last part is my impatient question: please tell me your the most interesting experience in your journey :)
In the middle of the Camino, i felt so
exhausted and I didn't know what am i doing now. but at that moment, i
met some crazy old man at the Albergue. He has been doing the Camino
for 30 years, and he said, his whole life is Camino. and he
talked to us that we should enjoy and feel thankful during the
Camino, not just walking all day long. so from that day, i was slow
down my walking and tried to feel and hear the sound of my mind
and surroundings. He has no house, wealth but he feels at himebon the
road.
And during the road, you can see many
hilarious signs on the road. in the forest, i found that one.hahaha
You can see herds, horses, cows at all
times and get bused to smell of their poops.....disgusting at the
first time though.
At Cebreiro, i saw the best sunset
ever in my life. so i made a pose like heart with my Camino friends.
